The HTML5 Game Jam took place this past weekend in San Francisco and Hilversum. We’ve already posted a few of the game demos created by participants, such as Monkey Fortress, Tablet Tennis, and Cats Dogs & Explosions. Listed below are some of the other demos created. Keep in mind that this was a fun event that challenged participants to throw together a game in less than 30 hours with little to no planning. As such, most of these were only tested in 1 or 2 browsers- not surprisingly Chrome seems to be your best bet.
Enterprise Syndicate: An impressive game demo featuring beautiful 3D graphics (actually uses basic canvas 2D- no WebGL) One of the demo’s creators wrote a lengthy blog post on the development process as well as his experience at the competition- you can check it out here.
Atome: An educational-themed chemistry game.
Ninja Leap: basic, old-school graphics but quite addictive
Smiley v. The Gumballs: avoid the gumballs for as long as possible
Fruit Link: A bejeweled-style puzzle demo
Parallax: An awesome demo powered by the new 3D capabilities of HTML5 (note: it can only be viewed in a browser that’s updated with HTML5 WebGL graphic acceleration. The creators recommend Chrome, but only the most recent version has it)
